Ajmer: For the 811th Urs of world-famous Sufi Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chishti, preparations have been intensified by the Ajmer district administration and the Dargah Committee.
There is a possibility of Pakistani pilgrims coming to Urs this time. The district administration has made preparations on its behalf. Like every time, this time too, they will be stopped at the Central Girls School, Old Mandi Ajmer.
However, the administration is waiting for official information from the Ministry of Home Affairs and External Affairs regarding this. It is noteworthy that due to the Covid-19 epidemic, the Pakistani batch has been absent for the last two years.
The 811th Urs of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti will formally begin with the flag-hoisting ceremony at the Buland Darwaza on January 18. It will be started by hoisting the flag by the Gauri family of Bhilwara.
District Collector Anshdeep said that Urs would begin on January 18, and Urs could continue till February 1 or 2. Preparations were started soon regarding this, and all the work will probably be completed by tomorrow.
He said that planning has also been done regarding the arrangements related to the police. The collector said that the crowd would likely be more this time than last because of which different arrangements have been made.
Extra buses and trains are Arranged. The District Collector said that extra buses and trains had been arranged for the crowd of pilgrims. The Railway administration has also issued information regarding this. He said that the district administration has also made preparations regarding parking vehicles so that there is no problem with any at the time of Urs.
Possibility of the arrival of Pakistani pilgrims
For the last two years, due to the Covid-19 epidemic, Pakistani pilgrims were not coming to Khwaja Sahib’s Urs. But this time, there is a possibility of Pakistani pilgrims coming with him on the 811th. District Collector Anshdeep said that preparations had been made on his behalf regarding this. All will be accommodated in Central Girls School. The Ministry of Home Affairs will give its final official information. After getting the information of which further arrangements will be made.
