The Netflix original series ‘Squid Game’, which was a global hit, will return with Season 2 later this year.
Netflix announced that Season 2 of ‘Squid Game’ will be released on December 26th, and Season 3 will be released sometime next year.
Season 2 depicts the events that unfold when Ki-hoon, the main character who won the game but eventually gave up on going to the United States, returns with his own purpose.
Actors Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-joon, and Gong Yoo appear, and Im Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Sung-hoon, and Yang Dong-geun are newly joining.
In Season 1 of “Squid Game,” Seong Gi-hun, a divorced father and indebted gambler, receives an invitation to compete in children’s games for a massive cash prize. Along with 455 other desperate players, he participates in a series of life-or-death games at a secret location. These games are overseen by masked guards in pink jumpsuits and run by the mysterious Front Man. Gi-hun forms alliances with others, including his childhood friend Cho Sang-woo and defector Kang Sae-byeok, as they fight to survive. The intense competition and high stakes make for a gripping and suspenseful storyline!
